Funeral services for Mildred M. Drummond, 91, of Davenport, formerly of DeWitt, IA, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Drummond passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Kahl Home in Davenport.

Mildred Marguerite McDevitt was born on October 26, 1922 in DeWitt, IA, the daughter of Francis and Loretta (Naughton) McDevitt. In 1940 she graduated from Calamus High School, where she was awarded the title Clinton County Health Queen. She married James G. Drummond on September 26, 1942 at St. Irnaeus Catholic Church in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1992. Mildred worked as a bookkeeper for Avis in Davenport, and later retired from J.I. Case in DeWitt. She had many hobbies including crocheting, playing cards and dancing; however, spending time with her family was most important to her. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three Daughters: Diane Walker of Hanover, PA, Jayne (Tony) Ruckoldt of Davenport, IA, Julie (Danny) Curtis of Eldridge, IA; a Son: Thomas (Carol) Drummond of Davenport; a Sister-in-Law: Irene 'Tooty' McDevitt of Clinton, IA; a Brother-in-Law: Clifford 'Tuffy' Vorbeck of Clinton, IA; 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Cleo McDevitt, Eugene McDevitt, Veronica Murphy, Geraldine Ondechek, Kathleen Koenes, Madonna McConohy, and Betty Vorbeck.

Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church or to the Kahl Home.
