He was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 20th, 1994 to Shelly (Fatchett) Davis and William Bertram. Nicholas graduated from Davenport Central High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics from the University of Iowa.
Nicholas had a beautiful kind soul, with a heart of gold that showed through everything he did. He had the ability to brighten anyone's day, even during their most difficult times. He always encouraged others to follow their passions and to live a life full of love and unity. He loved spending time with his family, frisbee golfing, and connecting and playing online video games with friends. Growing up, he played football and carried the love of the sport throughout his life with his two favorite football teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the New York Jets. He felt connected with nature, had a passion for mathematics, and always understood the complexity of schematics behind building things. The knowledge and advice that he shared with his loved ones will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Connie Kay (Meier) Schultz (DeWitt, IA), Joe Fatchett (Midwest City, OK), and Donna Bertram (DeWitt, IA).
