

Norma Ruth Delp, 74, of Round Rock, TX, formerly of Davenport, died Friday, March 23, 2012 with her family beside her in Round Rock, TX. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am until the service, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com Norma was born September 15, 1937 in Grafton, IL, the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Brainnard) Armstrong. She was united in marriage to Henry “Corky” Delp on November 27, 1956 in Washington. She retired from Oscar Mayer in 1997 after 37 years of service. She moved to Round Rock in 2004. Norma spent most of her time with her grandchildren in baseball and softball parks, volleyball and football games and attending band concerts. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much and didn’t want to miss a thing. Her other interests included her family, gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, reading and watching Wheel of Fortune and ice skating. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Corky; mother-in-law, Viola Delp; sisters, Deanna Harper and Georgia Erbst, son, Art Delp, grandchildren: Chad Delp, Jenny (Chris) Wenzel and great grandchildren: Jacob and Gretchen Wenzel. Her parents, brothers Arthur, Cork, Fred and Ken and sister, Doris preceded her in death.
