Norma S. Wilkening, 94, passed away on July 27, 2015, in Luling, TX. Funeral services will be held in Davenport, IA, on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Davenport Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. Norma S. Stuhr was born on April 24, 1921, in Bennett, IA, to William and Edna Stuhr. She married Dwain Wilkening in Bennett. She was a homemaker, and together with her husband, raised two children. Norma was also employed at the Davenport Lutheran Home for a number of years.
Those survivors honoring Norma’s memory include her son, Richard (Barbara) Wilkening, Kenora, Ontario; daughter, Diane (Leon) Oehlers, Luling, TX; sister, Gladys Conrad, Lowden, IA; brothers Ralph (Roseann) Stuhr, Davenport, and Howard (Carole) Stuhr, Bennett; grandchildren, Stephanie Zimple, Austin, TX, Jason Wilkening, Bettendorf, IA, Alicia Cohler, Chicago, IL; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Elda Rixe, and a brother, Elmer Stuhr.
