Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Scott County Humane Society. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Norman was born January 17, 1936 to William and Elvira (Keener) Bunn in Muscatine, IA. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Bloomfield on April 7, 1979 in Viola, IL. After his military career in the Navy and Army Reserves he went on to explore many jobs from filling station attendant to factory worker and retired his career with the Iowa DOT.
Norman adored his family and his puppy, Winston Meadows. He enjoyed bowling on leagues in Muscatine for numerous years and traveling to national tournaments. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Muscatine for several years. Norman was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and he also enjoyed puzzles, collecting coins, gnomes, and vacationing with his family.
Those missing him deeply are his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Bunn; children, David (Ronda) Bunn of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Angela Kirk of Muscatine, IA, Kip Bunn of Davenport, IA, and Tim Bunn of Naples and Key West, FL; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; “special nieces”, Linda Meadows and Ashley Evans; brother-in-law, Leo (Terri) Bloomfield of Racine, WI; and his special friends, Gary Brown, Jackie Lawhorn, Scott Long, Hazel and Denny Deickman, along with the “Rockingham HyVee Girls”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Evelyn and Richard Bloomfield; and his 9 siblings, Fred, Kate, Winnie, Emma, Hugh, Art, Eva, Jack, and Pat.
