A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to King’s Harvest Animal Shelter.
Patty was born on March 12, 1951 in Ames, Iowa, to Donald and Maxine (Olson) Atkinson.
She was united in marriage to Steven Gayman on September 20, 1975 in Illinois. Patty retired in 2013 from Cobham Aerospace.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, vegetable and flower gardening.
After she and her husband Steve retired, they relocated to Lake Rathbun and later returned to the Quad Cities in 2017.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Steve; brother Danny Atkinson; sisters, Connie (Kevin) Stear, Kay (Rollie) Behrend, and Joanie (Bob) Bowman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her two beloved fur babies, Sadie and Toby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
