Patrick Bennett

Patrick “Pat” Bennett, 86, went home to his Lord and Savior April 19, 2026, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 10:00 AM in the Runge chapel. A visitation Wednesday April 22 4-7 PM. He will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. He was born a son of George and Margaret (Alman) Bennett on May 12, 1939, in Oskaloosa, IA.

Pat proudly served in the U.S. Army. United in marriage to Deyonna VandeKrol until she passed away in 2001. He was united in marriage to Beverly Scroggs until she passed away. Later, marrying Sara Owen February 14, 2020, in Davenport.

Patrick was employed by Farmall, New Horizons, and later retired from KatridgePak after many years of service. He attended High Point Bible Chapel, Davenport, and regularly was a speaker there. Patrick accepted the Lord as his savior in 1960 and continued service for the Lord throughout his life including serving as the Emmaus Prison Ministry Coordinator for Iowa.

He is survived by his loving wife Sara, daughters Kathleen (Andy) Parker of Davenport, Kristine (Hal) Reed of Mississippi, grandchildren Jessica (Dillon), Richelle (Dan), Anthony, great-grandchildren Abigail, Savannah, Ezra, and sister Jeanne Shane.

Pat is preceded in death by his parents, wives Deyonna VandeKrol, Beverly Scroggs, two sisters Janet, and Georgeann.
