Pat was born March 17, 1947 in Park Litchfield, AZ, the daughter of Gabriel and Mildred (Barnett) Beasley. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Brawley Union California High School in 1965. She started working for the Government in 1972. She moved to Davenport in 1981 to work at the Arsenal. A week after her 34th Birthday she met Loren Bohnsack on a blind date (even though she was not that type of girl) and was smitten. They have been together ever since.
Her passions in life were her family, flowers, going to auctions, as well as stained glass, furniture upholstering, jewelry, silk screening and basket weaving. However she was best known for her pottery, soaps and lotions.
In 2003 she opened her own shop “Treasures from the Heartland” in Blue Grass, IA. Even though it was only opened for one year, she continued to thrive as a crafter by selling at local arts and craft shows including the Beaux Arts Fair, The Barn in Knoxville, as well as several spas. She even had her own online store.
Pat had a warm and loving personality and brought sunshine to everyone who met her. She looked out for everybody and anybody and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Loren; daughters, Kellie L. (Craig) Moore, Davenport and Lori D. Johnson, Davenport; son, Shawn D. Johnson, Davenport; step children, Tina L. (Brad) Soukup, Muscatine and Evonne (Glen Shouby) Wilson; grandchildren, Austin, Katerina, Hunter, Daniel and Laurren; great grandchildren Teigan and Aiden; three brothers, Johnny Beasley, Donald Beasley and Clifford Beasley; two sisters, Louise Hoffman and Helen Deputy; and many nieces and nephews.
