Paul Nicholas Valerius

Paul Nicholas Valerius, 74, of Princeton, IA; passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Genesis East Medical Center. There will be no services. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Paul was born November 15, 1940 in Davenport; the son of Harold and Elloitt (King) Valerius. He was united in marriage to Shirley Tyler on July 28, 1962 in Davenport.

He worked in the Weapons Command Division at the Rock Island Arsenal from 1963 until his retirement in 1993. He loved taking trips on his motorcycle; working on cars; fishing, using his computer, adding to his many collections including model cars, trains and planes and using his telescope. He was a member of A.M.C.

Paul was a great man; wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his wife, Shirley; children: Paula Valerius; Patricia Valerius and Pamela (Chris) Brown; grandchildren: Edda Valerius, Felicia (TJ) Brown, Amber (Amber) Havenhill and Ashley Havenhill; eight great grandchildren; nephews: Mark, Eddie and Mike; nieces, Sandy and Dennie and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Valerius. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Phillip Valerius and a sister, Jeanie Henzen.
