Philip E. McCormick

Phil McCormick, 64, of Davenport went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Funeral services will be on Monday June 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Wesleyan Nazarene Church, Davenport. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday at the Runge Mortuary. He will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online tributes and condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Phil was born on August 2, 1952 in Moss, TN to Charles and Mary (Freeman) McCormick. He was united in marriage to Martha Adamson on June 21, 1972 in Grassland, TX. Phil graduated from Bible Missionary Institute, Rock Island with a bachelor degree in theology. He owned and operated McCormick Insulation Company for over twenty-five years. Phil loved the holiness church and His life was a testimony to God’s faithfulness and love. In 2003 he helped to establish the Wesleyan Nazarene Church, Davenport, IA. He was an avid reader but above all he loved his family dearly and they made many happy memories together. Those cherishing his memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Martha; mother, Mary McCormick; children: Trisha (Jeff) Dodd, Greg (Ellen) McCormick and Darrell (Rebekah) McCormick; siblings: Doris Crowe, Yvonne Mugford and James McCormick; grandchildren: Emily, Travis, Lindsay, Nathan, Austin, and Asher. Phil was preceded in death by his father.
