

Phyllis Jean Hoehn, 53, of Davenport, Iowa passed away peacefully on November 24, 2018 after an extended illness. She was born to parents Nancy McDonald and Don Hoehn, on Febraury 28, 1965 in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1983. She went on to study art at Denver Art Institute in Denver, Colorado. Her favorite job was arranging and setting up huge extravagant parties in Aspen and Vail, Colorado for a number of years. She then worked in the food business and as a Restaurant Manager for many years and was an excellent cook. Phyllis loved the Colorado Mountains and her favorite pastime was camping and trout fishing in those beautiful mountains. She also loved boating and water skiing and watching her favorite football team, the Denver Broncos. Phyllis is survived by her mother, Nancy (Stechmann) MacDonald of Bettendorf, father, Don Hoehn of Davenport, sisters, Susan Hoehn-Bral of Davenport and Betty (Michael) Wyffels of Parkview. She is also survived by Nieces Megan (Justin) Williams of Dallas Texas, Stephanie Bral of Cedar Falls, IA, Jennifer Wyffels of Colona, IL, and Samantha Bral of Iowa City, IA, and her step-mother, Joann Farnsworth of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. The family has entrusted Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport with the arrangements. A private family service was held Saturday, December 1, 2018. Phyllis was very friendly and known to have a kind and loving heart. She was loved by everyone she met.
