

Ray William Ullrich, 84, of Moline, formerly of Davenport600, died Sunday, January 1, 2011 at Heartland Health Care in Moline. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. There will be no visitation, cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the D.A.V. or the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com
Ray was born June, 23 1927 in Bettendorf, IA, the son of Wilhelm and Minnie (Ingraham) Ullrich. He married LaVon Sizenbach on November 28, 1946 in Davenport. He served in the Navy during WWII.
Ray worked as a mechanic in the trucking division at Navistar, formerly International Harvester in Davenport. He enjoyed his naps and his beloved dogs. Ray also was a volunteer driver for the D.A.V.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, LaVon, Moline, children: Gregory Ullrich and his companion, Dawn Berg, Mesa, AZ; Bonnie (Robert) Harksen, Taylor Ridge, IL; Christie Ullrich and her companion, Jerry Mills, Davenport, IA; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; siblings: Melvin “Sonny” Ullrich, Davenport, Vera Runge, Davenport, Dorothy (Leo) Meyer, Pittsburg, MO and Shirley Schaab, Davenport.
His parents, son, Kirk and sisters, Gertrude Van Hoosier and Evelyn Giles preceded him in death.
