Richard H. Beck

Richard Henry Beck, 78, of Muscatine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no public services.

Richard was born October 12, 1946, in Davenport. He was the son of Waldo and Marjorie (Miller) Beck. He married Joyce E. Beck on October 22, 1975, in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death on December 27, 2019.

He graduated from Muscatine High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from St. Ambrose University. He worked as a warehouse manager for REC in Wilton for many years while at the same time farming his three farms. He even received the “Best Corn Field” in Iowa award. He was an avid animal lover and over the years had a variety of animals including his Belgian Horse, “Cowboy”, goat, “Cowgirl” and several dogs.

He loved to plant trees and was known for his beautiful gardens, including flowers. He spent many Friday evenings at Ina Mae’s Restaurant in Muscatine, which he loved.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Tiffany Elaine Beck, Fruitland, IA, Travis Howard Richard Beck, Muscatine, IA and Jessica Joyce Beck, Muscatine, IA; grandchildren: Natasha, Lily, Skyler and Gunther and his beloved dogs, Izzy and Tia. His parents and two infant sons preceded him in death.
