Richard B. “Rick” Schmidt, 76, of Davenport, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com.
Rick was born on July 27, 1938 in Davenport, a son of Eva and Leroy Schmidt. He spent his years living in both California and Iowa, as well as traveling throughout most of the United States for “his work”. He enjoyed his friends and family, reading, politics, weekly poker games and the occasional trip to “The Boat”. In addition to a wonderful personality and his unique outlook on life, Rick was an accomplished artist, musician and a published author.
He is survived by his brother, Robert “Skip”, a niece, nephews, extended family members and numerous close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and brother. Rest in Peace. You will be missed by many.
