Ricky G. “Pooh Bear” Coffey, 54, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. The family requests casual attire. Ricky was born on February 11, 1961 in Virginia, the son of Glen Houston Coffey and Ollie Mae Able. He married Star Franklin in 1994 after being together for 15 years.
Ricky enjoyed working on bikes, 4-wheelers, and mud trucks and loved fishing and the outdoors. His children were the most important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Star; children, Ricky, Josh and Nickolas Franklin; grandson, Joshua, Jr.; siblings, David (Sarah) Able and Wayne Kemp; niece, Tiffany Hawkins; and good friend, Mandy Robins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Able; parents; and stepfather, Charles Able.
