Robert P. Baker, 72 of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, December 01, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com. He was born on March 26, 1943 in Waterloo, IA the son of Harry and Viola (Gliedt) Baker. Robert was united in marriage to Beverly Untiedt on April 29, 1972. Robert was a US Navy veteran. For over 35 years he was a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed his membership at Trinity Lutheran Church, photography, traveling and camping. Those left to honor his memory include his wife; son, Stephen (Bonnie) Baker, Davenport; daughter, Cynthia (Jason) Tacker, Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren: Logan and Isabella Tacker, SC; and siblings: Mark Baker, Ames, IA and Sharon Livermore, Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Mike Baker.
