Robert Dale Beeks

Robert D. Beeks, 40, of Bettendorf, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Lions Club or the Diabetes Foundation.

Rob was born March 3, 1971 in Davenport, the son of Robert O. Beeks, Jr and Barbara (Brubaker) Beeks. He had formerly worked as a prep cook. Rob never met a stranger and loved people, caring more for them than himself. For him, it wasn’t about weathering the storm but dancing in the rain. He loved music and fishing, especially with his grandfather and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Robert and Barbara, Davenport, brother, Jonathan Beeks, Bettendorf; sisters, Dana Stahl, IL and Darcy Hipham; IL; maternal grandparents, Merlin and Vivian Brubaker, Bettendorf; paternal grandmother, Shirley Beeks, Bettendorf and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
