Robert Ellis Cotton

Robert was born on February 5, 1944 in Sleeper, Missouri, to Clifford and Lee Cotton. On May 1, 1986, he was united in marriage to Peggy Curtin in LeClaire, Iowa. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage. In 2009 he retired from his 45-year long career in transportation as a semi-truck driver. The last company he drove for was Wonder Bread.

Robert was a member of the NRA and several local gun clubs. He enjoyed bench shooting, competition matches, prairie dog hunting, and hanging out with the guys at Square Shooters. He also enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River, eagle watching at Lock and Dam 14, and traveling, but most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Cotton; children, Amy (Shawn) Felsing, Shawn Robert Cotton, Brian (Jamie) Curtin; grandchildren, Leola, Archer, Brianna, and Michael.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Herbert Cotton and Marylee Mizer.
