Robert Arthur Pruden

Robert A. Pruden, 79, of LeClaire, IA, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. Following cremation a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road, Bettendorf. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Robert was born on October 15, 1935 to Lester and Mary Ann (Pelegrin) Pruden. He graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Master of Science Degree in December of 1975.

He married Patricia Metz in 1957 and worked at the Army Weapons Command on the Rock Island Arsenal from 1956-1990. After retiring from the government, he took on a new job working in Real Estate where he worked for ten more years – first starting with Century 21 and then going to Mel Foster.

He enjoyed a wide range of outdoor activities and was a true Hawkeye football fan. He loved to talk about the game and kept busy with various volunteer activities.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; children, Carol (Michael) German, Jeffrey, Robert, Jr. and Christopher (Julie); four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen and his sister, Elizabeth.
