Roberta A. Johnson

Roberta A. Johnson, 70, of Davenport, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Davenport. Private funeral services will be held. Visitation for the public will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. Roberta was born January 18, 1940 in Davenport, the daughter of Hans and Hilda (Bracker) Carstensen. She was united in marriage to Charles Johnson on April 1, 1961 in Davenport. Roberta worked for Oscar Mayer for over thirty years and retired in 1996. She was a patient woman who loved to fish and watch NASCAR. She also dearly loved animals, especially dogs but, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her youth she was a cheerleader and played basketball.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband Chuck, Davenport, son, Drake Johnson, Bettendorf, daughter, Kyle (Eugene) Johnson, Davenport and grandchildren: Trace and Dalton Johnson. Her parents, two sisters, one brother and her beloved dogs, Schone and Sheldy preceded her in death.
