Ronald Quick

Ron Quick, 64, of Davenport passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his residence. Services in celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 27 at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, where his family will greet friends and family from 10 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Mayo Clinic, The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.

Ron was born in 1954 in Davenport, Iowa to Donald Sr. and Jeannette Quick. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1973. He married Mary “Jeannie” Stillmunkes on November 23, 1996 in Davenport, Iowa. He was the owner of Ron’s Budget Muffler and Brake and also Quick’s AAA Muffler and Brakes retiring in 2015. Ron enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, exploring new restaurants, and watching the food network, but his biggest joy was his grandchildren and family whom he loved dearly.

Those left to honor Ron’s memory include his wife, Mary “Jeannie” Quick; son Nicholas (Cindy) Quick of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Emmett, Jacob and Connor; sisters, Cathy (Ken) DeLugish of North Liberty, IA and Patti Quick of Davenport; brothers, Donald (Carolene) Quick Jr. of Davenport and Bruce (Linda) Quick of Maysville, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Margaret Stillmunkes.
