Ronald Hysle "Buck" Teel

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12th from 11 am until noon, with the service to follow at noon. His final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go the family.

Ron was born in Linwood, Iowa on March 10, 1931. He was the son of Hysle and Ruth (Bell) Teel. He served in the Army in Korea from 1950 until 1953. He was united in marriage to Eva Gibbons on September 3, 1955 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2007.

He worked at Alcoa for many years prior to his retirement in 1990. In earlier years, he loved to fish, hunt, listen to Patsy Cline and read Louis L’Amour books.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie (Vickie) Teel, Edward Teel and Perry (Kari) Teel, all of Davenport; five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister, Marlys and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife Eva, Ron was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Teel, stepson Michael Morgan and sisters: Charlotte, Dorothy, Beverly and Joyce.
