Ronald D. Wagner

Ronald D. Wagner, 68, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Davenport. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 4:00 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary Davenport, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the mortuary. Ronald was born July 3, 1943 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Darl and Hilda (Carpenter) Wagner.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany and France.

He was employed at IH Farmall starting in Rock Island and transferring to Springfield, Ohio from where he retired after 30 years.

Ronald was an avid Harley rider. He attended several motorcycle rallies, including Sturgis. Ronald enjoyed fishing and was a huge fan, and season ticket holder of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother Hilda Potter, Davenport; special friend Penny Hites, Springfield, OH; sister Joyce (James) Moore, Fulton, IL; nieces Diane (Ted) Williams, Galena, IL and Karen (Mike) Hand, Fulton, IL; nephew Neil (Rebecca) Steinhagen, Norwich, CT; 7 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, stepfather James Potter, and brother Dennis Potter.
