Ruby V Utley

Ruby Virginia Utley, 82, of Davenport, died Saturday, January 7, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:30 am at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at the mortuary.

Ruby was born September 7, 1929 in Centerville, IA, the daughter of Campbell and Edith (Kirby) Cloud. She was united in marriage to Albert Padovich Jr. in Davenport, he preceded her in death. She then married James M. Utley on April 27, 1968; he also preceded her in death. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking pies, fishing in Minnesota and spending time with her grandchildren.

She worked as a payroll clerk for twenty-eight years at Nichols Homeshield prior to her retirement.

Those left to honor her memory include a daughter, Colette Collett, Davenport; son, Greg Padavich, Long Grove, IA; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Her parents, daughter, Vickie Padavich Mason and a half sister, Dorothy Cloud preceded her in death.
