

Russell B. Brown, 66, of Davenport passed away in the comfort of his home on September 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2pm Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Russell graduated from West High School in 1969 and served in the US Army in Vietnam. He married his soulmate 27 years ago. He was a loving husband and devoted care giver to his wife after she suffered a brain aneurysm and stroke 10 years ago.
He had been employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Caterpillar, Dayco and Parker.
He was a big Hawkeye fan and enjoyed many games with friends and family. A huge automotive enthusiast, he liked working on cars and was very involved with drag racing. He loved spending summer nights at the raceway with his family. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and decorating for Halloween and Christmas.
Survivors include his wife Karmen; sons Cory (Julie) Brown, Rusty (Alicia) Brown, daughter Gina (Santiago) Jimenez ; grandkids: Sierra, Christopher, Madyson, Wyatt, Garret, Emmett, Ashleigh and Jackson; aunts: Bee (Gyorgy) Lopez, Norma Schumann and Marge Schumann and his four legged family, Roudy and Bones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Brown.
