Sandra J. James

Sandra Joyce James, 63, of Davenport, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, in Davenport. A Celebration of her life will be Sunday, October 12, 2025, from noon until 4 pm at “For the Love of Mental Health,” 1620 Rockingham Rd in Davenport.

Sandra was born in Iowa City to Leonard and Jean (Felder) Wilson. In earlier years she worked at Hungry Hobo and as a nurse’s assistant before retiring due to health issues. She enjoyed collecting tiger figurines; especially white tigers with blue eyes (her favorite color); along with crossword puzzles. Being a stubborn woman, it was her way or no way. However, she loved her family in her own special way. She is now at peace.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: David (Trisha) Wilson, Walcott and their children, Carter, Ariez, Cayden and Bentley; Heather (James) Hallmann, Davenport and their children: Tarynn and Jordan and Mickayla James and her children, Kalob, Logan, Joseph Noah & their guardian angel Izayah; siblings: Tammy O’Connor of Iowa City and her children, Cindy and Craig; Lenny (Terri) Wilson of Birmingham, Alabama and their children: Stephanie and Jessie; Amanda Wilson, Davenport; Cheryl Wilson’s (dec) children, Jeannie Wilson, Davenport and Donny Thornton, NE and good friends, Emma (Richard) Horton, Davenport.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Wilson and niece, Trina Wilson.
