Scott Dittmer, 66, of Davenport passed away on February 12, 2026. Per Scott’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are planned at this time. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com
Scott “Sh**ty” Dittmer was born on July 6, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa to John and Delores (Shano) Dittmer. Sh**ty enjoyed hunting, fishing, Mopars and animals. Everyone that knew Sh**ty loved him, and he never knew a stranger. He loved people and enjoyed conversations with anyone that would listen.
He is survived by his son, Chad (Kathy) Dittmer; grandchildren, Lindsey Dittmer, Zach Groves; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Sheri Schaefer, Marian Ammons; stepmother, Debbie Dittmer; nieces, Shanna, Tammy Jo, Brenda, Kathy and nephew, Shane.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barb Reynolds and brother-in-law, Sam Reynolds.
