Selma was born on November 11, 1929, in Davenport, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harry Hileman on July 3, 1950, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1990.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing, and spending time outdoors planting her flowers.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Kathy McCollom and Carol Gesling; and son, Harry Hileman Jr., all of Davenport; grandchildren, Brian (Julie) McCollom, Shelley (Matt) Siebel, Nick (Taylor) Gesling, Josh (Brittini) Hileman, Cory (Amanda) Stegan, and Eric Hileman; step-grandsons, Alec Capshaw and Brendan Gogulich; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her son, David; three sisters; and four brothers.
