Shelly J. Meier

Per Shelly’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com.

Shelly was born on January 12, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa to Rudy and Billie (Goode) Wendler. On July 27, 1974, she was united in marriage to Bruce Meier. They enjoyed 51 years together. Shelly enjoyed dogs, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Shelly was just told she was going to be a great grandma and was so excited to be one. She also enjoyed traveling and taking trips with family. Shelly never knew a stranger and often made friends with anyone that crossed her path.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Bruce; daughter, Stefaine (Matt) Brock; grandsons, Tyler (Taylor) Brock, Cobey Brock; sisters, Deb (Tim) Heim, Connie (Ken) Banks, Kathy Heim and brother, Skip Wendler, and many nieces and nephews who she loved.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jason Meier.
