Sherry C. (Dunn) Lutton, 74, passed away on December 26, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Born on July 16, 1951, to parents Warren and Gilberta Dunn, Sherry's journey began in New Jersey, where she graduated from Butler High School.
Sherry embarked on a fulfilling career as a library assistant at the Sussex County Main Library. Her time there was marked by the formation of many lifelong friendships, testament to her warm and engaging nature.
In 1971, Sherry married David Lutton, with whom she had two daughters. Although they divorced in 1997, they remained friends. Later, Sherry found enduring happiness with Ron, the love of her life, with whom she spent over 20 cherished years until his passing.
Sherry was a woman of diverse interests and hobbies. She had a passion for singing and enjoyed performing karaoke. Alongside her library friends, she was part of a singing group called the Novelette's. If there was a dance floor, Sherry could be found on it. A devoted fan of the Hawkeye football team, she was always cheering them on or wearing their logo. She also loved spending time at the Jersey Shore, where the beach brought her immense joy.
Remembered for her spunky spirit and fun-loving nature, Sherry was truly the life of the party. Her legacy is one of living life to the fullest, leaving behind a trail of fond memories and cherished moments. She embraced life with joy and was always ready to have a good time.
Sherry is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Ann) Martin and Kylene (Timothy) Henderson; her grandchildren, Jordan and Sean Henderson; her cousin (like a sister), Debbie Graham; and her two brothers, Brent Turse of Pennsylvania and a younger estranged brother.
She is preceded in death by her loving partner, Ron, and her parents.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
