Steven H. Brock

Steven H. “Stevo” Brock, 49, of Davenport, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport. Per his request, cremation rites were accorded. A private family memorial service will take place. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made for an educational fund for his daughter, Alexandria.

Steven was born September 2, 1961 in Davenport, the son of Dwight Ross Brock and De Vota (Houston) Hein. He played lead guitar for his band, Wicked Nature and enjoyed writing his own personal music. His hobbies included: fishing, mushroom hunting, golfing, bowling and walking/playing with his beloved dog, Mazzi, however, his greatest joy was being a devoted and loving father. He was the roller skating king in his day and also loved stock car races and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Steve also was a deejay at the Gallery Lounge where he was known as “Stevo Video.”

Those left to honor his memory include is wife, Kathy, daughter, Alexandria, both of Davenport, stepdaughter, Kelli Leebold, Moline; mother, Dee Hein, Davenport; father, Dwight Ross Brock, Rock Island; brother, Bob Hassel, Davenport; his dog, Mazzi; his “Wicked Nature” family and a special buddy, Todd “TB” Barker. His stepfather, Wesley W. Hein preceded him in death.
