Steven Edmund Seyfried

Steven Edmund Seyfried passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa at the age of 63. He was surrounded by his beloved partner, Sarah Jane, and other family members. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Bettendorf Presbyterian Church beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery.

Steven is survived by his partner in life, Sarah Jane Barker, his mother, Dorothy Seyfried, his brother John Seyfried (Constance Newman) and sisters Dana Seyfried (Avishay Levanovsky), Christine Seyfried Church (John Church) and his nephews Aaron Seyfried (Becky), Christopher Seyfried and niece Caitlin Seyfried, his Uncle Rick and Aunt Gina Seyfried. He is also survived by Jan Barker, Justin and Kelley Kerns, Kevin and Jess Barker, Thad and Suzy Barker and many extended family members and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Edmund E. Seyfried Jr.

Steven grew up in Maysville, Iowa and lived in Bettendorf, Iowa as an adult. With his parents and siblings, Steven spent much of his childhood summers in Dares Beach, Maryland, waterskiing, crabbing and socializing with his extended family. He maintained these relationships and his love of life in and around Chesapeake Bay. Steven will be remembered as a precocious and adventurous child and a kind and gracious adult.
