Susan C. Teel

Susan Catherine Teel, 76, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Mercy One/Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport. Per her request, cremation rites will be provided. A Celebration of Life will be at The Runge Mortuary on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm. Memorials may go to the family.

Susan was born in Hawaii on March 26, 1949. She was the loving daughter of Horace and Frances (Sequin) Goers. She graduated from Castle High School in Honolulu, Hawaii and after her husband’s military service, moved to the U.S. mainland to be nearer to his family. Together they raised their two children along the Mississippi River and enjoyed many adventures.

She worked many years for Herrington Signal Company in Moline before retiring to spend time with her family. She loved working in her yard, especially growing plants and flowers. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her granddog.

Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband, David; son, Ryan (Tera) Teel, Davenport and Ronda Cook, Phoenix; grandchildren: Brenden Teel, Mina Cook, Summer Cook, Carter Brown and Dillon Brown; great grandchild, Holland Teel; sister, Joann Keller Dale, Kansas City, MO, numerous nieces and nephews and her favorite grand-dog, Pono. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bobbie Nordland.
