Terry L Dumerauf

Terry Lee “Lorentzen” Dumerauf 71, of Donahue, IA, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2023 in his home following a battle with Cancer. Per his wishes Cremation will be done with a Celebration of Terry’s life to be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the banquet hall at Ray’s Pub, 101 N Main Street, Donahue, IA, from 1-5 PM. We will be gathering to share memories, listen to Terry’s favorite music, laugh or cry, and remember a wonderful person. Light lunch will be served. Terry was born in Davenport, IA on June 26, 1951, to George & Frances (Lorentzen) Dumerauf. United in marriage to Cynthia Louise Straight on February 24, 1973, she arrived in Heaven on January 5, 2021. Terry and Cindy will celebrate their 50 year wedding anniversary together in Heaven next month!

Terry lived a full life, he was a Metallurgical Technician at Alcoa and retired in 2004, he was a member of the NRA, Corvair Club, 8th Tennessee Confederate Infantry Reenactment Organization, and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He enjoyed tinkering, genealogy, skydiving, traveling, riding his Harley, and seeking the truth on many subjects.

Terry touched many lives because he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was the type of person that would pull over to help a stranded stranger, run to the scene of an accident, rescue a baby deer after the pregnant mother had been hit by a car. He was adventurous, curious, creative, stubborn till the end, and loved his family fiercely. Terry touched the lives of many and his legacy will carry forward in all that knew him.

Terry is survived by his 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 7 brothers, and numerous others.
