Tony L. Wise

Private family services to celebrate the life of Tony L. Wise, 56, of Bettendorf will be held at the Rock Island Arsenal at a later date. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Mrs. Wise passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements. Tony Laurel Wiebenga was born in Maquoketa, IA on June 14, 1955, the daughter of Donald Wiebenga and Mary Barker. She was united in marriage to Jerry Wise, who passed away on July 10, 2009. Tony worked at Alcoa. Her greatest joy was her family, and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her two Sons: Michael (Tricia) Despeghel of Bettendorf, Derek (Becky) Despeghel of Bettendorf; her Mother: Mary Barker of Maquoketa, IA; five Sisters: Charmayne McMurray, Elaine Mercado, Dona Bennett, Doris King, Wendy Smith; two Brothers: Dion Wilson, Steve Wiebenga; 8 Grandchildren: Alex, Cameron, Katie, Ian, Sydney, Sarah, Peyton, Jackson; and her dog: Jasmine Dale. She was preceded in death by her father and husband. Memorials may be directed to Gilda’s Club or Victory Junction, a NASCAR sponsored camp for children with chronic medical conditions.
