

Victoria J. “Tori” Vogel, 14, of Davenport, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 after a courageous battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma which she fought and triumphed over for nine months; however, before she was able to complete her final chemo regimen, Tori was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myloid Leukemia) on May 24th, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the mortuary. Victoria was born on January 10, 2001 in Davenport, IA, a daughter of Edward and Dawn (Dunbar) Vogel. She had just finished 8th grade at Sudlow Intermediate School. Above all she was an artist and she loved art in all forms – her world was her art and Anime. She was talented, smart and had a strong fighting spirit. She refused to fit in – she was herself.
Those celebrating her life include her parents, Ed and Dawn Vogel; four younger siblings, Ivan, Savannah, Avery and Vaughan; paternal grandmother, Sandra Vogel; maternal grandmother, Cindy Dunbar, all of the Quad Cities; maternal great grandmother, Mary Reeves, Alexis, IL; aunts, Sara Glass, Dawn Boney, and Vickie Peterson; uncles, James Vogel, Victor Vogel and Jon Dirnberger.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edward Vogel, Sr.; paternal great grandmother, Hertha Hildebrand; and maternal great grandfather, Ivan Reeves.
