Victoria Kay Melvin

Victoria “Vicki” K. Melvin, 79, of Bettendorf, IA passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. Private family services will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Vicki was born on September 19, 1945 in Sterling, IL to Kenneth and Mildred (Otten) Melvin. She graduated from Sterling High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree from the University of Iowa. Vicki worked for 40 years throughout the Quad Cities as a nurse for hospitals and medical offices. Vicki was active with the CASI organization. She loved her “Social Hour” time with her neighbors. She had a heart of a caregiver always making sure her friends and family had what they needed.

She is survived by her daughters, Jodi (Steve) Burcham of Virginia and Kerrie Wilbur of Bettendorf; grandchildren, John VonderHaar, Laura Atkinson and Alex Wilbur; great grandchildren, Ryan VonderHaar, Logan Atkinson; brother, Steve Melvin and close friend, Steve Loftus who was always by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Alissa VonderHaar.
