Vincent Joseph Carrillo, Jr., 78, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Vincent was born May 7, 1936 in Davenport. He was united in marriage to Patricia Mercer on September 13, 1969 in Rock Island, IL. He was employed as a candy maker for Brach’s Candy Company until his retirement in 1995.
He loved sports and was a diehard Bears and Cubs fan; and also loved boxing.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters: Lisa Rankin, Colorado Springs, CO; Tanya Campbell, Tammy Carrillo; sons: Tony (Robin) and Marco, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Cody, Connor, Brett, Luke ,Zach, Tierra and Tray; sister, Gloria Segura and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Vincent Carrillo, Sr.; sister, Carol Vargas and a brother, Thomas Carrillo.
