Virginia L. Rhoten

The Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Family Life Center of Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road, Bettendorf, IA at 11:00 am with a light luncheon following. To honor Jen's memory, please be whimsical and wear something with Red or Purple in it as she was a Red Hat Society enthusiast. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family members for a bench w/trees in LeClaire Park, Davenport, IA.

Jen was born October 30, 1938 at home in Millersville, Christian County, IL. Daughter of Melvin & Kathryn (Sloan) Lowe. Graduated from Taylorville High School, Taylorville, IL class of 1956. Graduated from St Ambrose College, Davenport, IA class of 1994 with a BA in Sociology. Jen lived in numerous places over the course of her years to include the states of Illinois, Texas, Iowa, Delaware, Oklahoma and Washington. Jen was a Kiwannian #242 member in Decatur, IL and a Red Hat Society enthusiast.

Jen was married to Tom Rhoten in 1998 in Lakewood, WA, Bill Hotchkiss in1972 in Moline, IL and Ernie Redeker in 1956 in Nokomis, IL.

Jen is survived by her children, Susan {Redeker} (Dan) Krob, Solon, IA; Kay {Redeker/Zinkula} Grover, Parker, CO; Carole {Redeker/Haut} Noble, Bettendorf, IA; Bill Redeker, Bethel Park, PA; Step-daughter, Christine {Rhoten} (Mario) Garnier, Federal Way, WA.
