William L. Baugh

William L. “Bill” Baugh, 89, of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Genesis East Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. His final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Tipton Senior Dining.

Bill was born in Davenport on October 18th, 1935. He was the son of William A. and Naomi (Dillon) Baugh. He served in the Navy for 36 months on the destroyer, USS Hermann.

He married Patricia Ann Herbon on July 6, 1959 In Morrison, IL, to which two sons were born, Bryan and Ty. She preceded him in death. He married Patricia “Patty” Welty on December 20, 2011 in Tipton.

He was a devoted employee for Alcoa for 35 years in the transportation department and retired in 1995.

Bill was a member of Mohassan Grotto #221 of Davenport. He was a active member of The Adventure christian community church.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Patty, son Bryan (Tonya) Baugh, Davenport, daughter-in-law, Alice York Baugh, Davenport, brother, Don (Lorna) Newton, Alabama and granddaughter, Amanda Stokes.

In addition to his first wife, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Ty, brother, David “Mac” Baugh, sister, Joyce Carle and his parents.
