William "Bill" M. Bentley

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. William was born on September 15, 1949 to William E. and Katherine (Smith) Bentley in Salamanca, NY. On August 12, 2006 he was united in marriage to Diana Schlump (Ward) in Davenport, IA. He worked in roofing and siding, and lastly at Friendship Manor, retiring in 2012.

William enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and making furniture in his woodshop.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Diana; children, Melody (Foster), Brook (Mike), William, and Dave; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Aundria.
