Lonnie was born April 2, 1955 in Centerville, Iowa to Garald Keith and Margery (McCloud) Billings. He was a 1973 graduate of West High School in Davenport. Lonnie met the love of his life Cynthia “Cindy” Trondson and they later wed on March, 6th 1976. Together they spent 44 years in marital bliss that started every morning with a “Good Morning Beautiful.” Together they had two beautiful daughters. Lonnie recently retired from Jim Hawk Truck Trailers in Davenport after 29 years of faithful service.
Lonnie enjoyed spending time outdoors and Busch heavy. He was always trying to find time to golf, and above all loved hunting ducks, turkeys and fishing. Lonnie devoted his life to nurturing his relationships with family and friends. Being a grandpa was one of Lonnie’s greatest joys. He spent as much time with his grandkids as possible and if you ever asked him he would say this was his favorite past time. Lonnie never met a stranger and he will be dearly missed by all.
Lonnie is survived by his Father Keith; loving Wife Cindy; Daughters, Kristen Campbell (Ryan) of Adel, Iowa and Brianna Hacker (Dylan) of Naples, Florida; five Grandchildren, Ella Campbell, Laney Campbell, Greta Campbell, Hadley Hacker and Easton Hacker; Sister, Cindy (Bill) Raap of Walcott; Brother Garon Billings, of Davenport; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws and many lifelong friends.
He was greeted in heaven by his mother.
