

Per his wishes he will be cremated with no public services. The Runge Mortuary has been entrusted with his care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
William was born March 6, 1949 in Centerville, Iowa, to Carl R. and Ann (Free) Fenton. He resided in Mystic, Iowa and graduated from Centerville High School in 1967, and continued his studies at Kirkwood College.
William took a job offer and relocated to California. He owned and operated the Mouse Trap Bar. In 1978 he returned to Iowa and worked as a custodian in Fairfield as well as working at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop and Welder Fabrication. He became disabled and lived in Le Claire next door to his best friends Linda Nelson.
William loved to go to garage sales, attend festivals, and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Hawkeyes fan.
Those honoring his memory include his daughters; Carrie Jones (Burlington, Iowa), and Mandy (Jason) Gardner (Centerville, Iowa), sister Bobbie (Brad) Fenton (Nichols, Iowa), grandchildren; Cassee (Berry, Illinois), and Cady (St. Joe, Missouri), and Aiden and Josey Kelley (Centerville, Iowa), nephew Corey Fenton (Nichols, Iowa), six great grandchildren, and his special friend Linda Nelson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother Kathryn Fenton, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and twin infant brother.
