William E. Parris, 77, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Genesis East Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the mortuary.

He was born in Canton, North Carolina, the son of William E. (Sr.) and Annie (Massey) Parris. He married Mary Brown in Davenport.
Mr. Parris retired in 1992 after 26 years of service with John Deere Plow and Planter Works in Moline.
He enjoyed camping in the mountains and talking to his friends on CB radios.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Ronald Parris, Anna (Vern) Rudminat, Bill (Rhonda) Parris, all of Davenport; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brothers, James of Atkins, IA and Lawrence of Canton, NC.
