William "Bill" Walter Sedlacek

William “Bill” W. Sedlacek, 84, of Eldridge, passed away on June 23, 2024 at Trinity Hospital in Bettendorf. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM till 11:30 AM at Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport. Memorials may be left to the Salvation Army and online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Bill was born on April 2, 1940 in Hamel, IL to Joseph and Agnes (Kesl) Sedlacek. Bill was united in marriage to Renate Engel on October 12, 1963 in Sinzig, Germany, she preceded him in death on February 8, 2007. Bill was then united in marriage to Sylvia Tague on June 26, 2010 in Eldridge, Iowa. Bill was an Army Veteran and worked in Foreign Military Sales for 32 years. Bill was the most kind, witty, selfless man you could have ever known. He was a businessman by day and a handyman by night. He would do anything for his family.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Sylvia; daughters Angelina Puckett and Kelly (Chris) Jones; grandchildren David Woods (Miranda Rich), William (Katie) Woods, Anna (Sean) Svec, Kourtni (Kevin) Naples, Mandi (Gavin) Kerschner, and Noah Jones; and 7 great grandchildren.
