

Willie C. Dixon was born on October 11, 1932, in Wheeler, Alabama. He lived a long, meaningful life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and service to others. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Temple Baptist Church, 3526 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service, starting at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be left to the family.
Willie dedicated over 30 years of service working for the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois, followed by 30 years of employment with Hy-Vee in Davenport, Iowa. His work ethic reflected his character: dependable, humble, and committed.
He was a God-fearing man who was humorous, honest, down-to-earth, and deeply loving. Willie was known for his humility and for quietly supporting his community, often contributing to causes that helped better the future for others. He carried a bright soul and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Willie was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Cunningham and Otis Dixon; his sister, Willie Ann Dixon; his former spouses, Loretta McNeil and Lydia Dixon; and many loved ones who welcomed him home.
He is survived by his sister, Rose Dixon; his children, Otis Dixon, Patricia J. Hobbs, and Patricia Hammock; six granddaughters; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind special brothers Mike Guster and Willard Watson, along with a host of extended family and friends who loved and respected him.
