Claudia B. Thompson (89), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Davenport, WA on April 20, 2026. She was born on July 9, 1936, in Reardan, WA to Arthur and Eva Bull. She grew up in Reardan with her brother Kenny and sisters Kay and Reba. She graduated from Reardan HS in 1954. Claudia fell in love with Harold Thompson and they married on June 3, 1955, sharing a life together for over 70 years. Their precious daughter, Penny Lynn, was born in 1956 and the family lived in a variety of locations before moving to Davenport in 1960. Claudia worked for Carmen’s Bakery for many years where she enjoyed meeting people with a smile. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. Christmas Eve family gatherings were a fond memory with plenty of cookies that she spent weeks baking. The morning coffee group at the bakery and later the B&B, Black Bear and Subway restaurants kept her well informed on the happenings in Davenport. Claudia loved her family greatly. She grew close to her granddaughters and great- grandchildren. She loved to spoil them at Christmas and on birthdays. Her first and greatest love was her husband, Harold. The two were inseparable even when they needed assisted living as health declined. Claudia’s family will always be grateful for the excellent care that she received from the staff at Serene Meadows. She is survived by her husband, Harold Thompson; daughter, Penny (Rod) Pankey; granddaughters, Tara (Travis) Greene and Traci (Gabe) Gants; and six great-grandchildren: Blake (17), Grady (13), Reid (11) Gants, and Wade (16), Stella (13), Clive (10) Greene.
