

Passed away September 24, 2012 in Spokane, WA formerly of Reardan, WA. Earl was born on August 9, 1913 on the family farm north of Mondovi, WA to John and Mary Williams. He attended the Windy Hill country school until the ninth grade when he returned to the family farm. At an early age he started doing field work. Earl liked to drive horses and his dad purchased a one-bottom plow and started to drive that when he was eight years old on Saturdays and after school was out. He hauled wheat to Mondovi driving a four horse team at the age of twelve and looked forward to driving the 19 hourse teams and the combine. Earl started farming with his brother in 1935 and they farmed together til 1948. In 1940 he married Mildred Wegner and they farmed for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Mildred, three children Don (and Chris) Williams, Paul (and Lorri) Williams and Tammy (and Mike) Booker along with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He has one sister Ruth Funnell and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Marie Holderby and Esther Halvorson and three brothers Ralph, Harold and Howard Williams. He was a member of the Reardan Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Mondovi Grange, former leader in 4-H, Soil conservation board, Lincoln Mutual board, Jr. Livestock show board, Lincoln County Fair board Grange Insurance board. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00PM at the Reardan Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 155 W. Cottonwood, Reardan, WA with Pastor Steve Gutzman, Officiating. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Reardan FFA Scholorship Fund or the Donor’s choice.
