

Gail Bishop, born in Grand Coulee, Washington in 1946 to Ernest and Ada Bishop, passed away on September 3, 2025.surrounded by family. One of five brothers, Gail grew up with a strong sense of family that carried throughout his life.
He spent his early years in Spokane and Almira, Washington before moving to California, where he lived for 42 years. Gail retired in 2007 after a dedicated career with Baldwin Park Code Enforcement. Following his retirement, he returned to Washington to be close to his family, where he found joy in the company of his many nieces and nephews, whom he adored.
Gail was married to his beloved wife for 58 years, a bond built on love and partnership that stood as the cornerstone of his life.
Known for his sharp wit, sarcasm, stubbornness, and perfectionist streak, Gail had a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He valued honesty, carried a clever sense of humor, and always held high standards—qualities that defined him in work, family, and friendship.
He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to share in his laughter and love. Gail is preceded in death by his four brothers Claude, Lloyd, Clyde and Gary.
Though he may no longer be with us, Gail’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the laughter he brought. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A celebration of life service for Gail will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wilbur Community Church, 306 SE Trinity, Wilbur, WA.
