

Jerry accepted Christ as his personal Savior in September 1950 at a tent meeting of Theodore Epp. He married Alice Ruth Franz on January 14, 1951. He received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy on February 13, 1954 as a Boatswain’s Mate G Third Class, USNR-R.
He briefly attended a Business College before moving with his young family to Spokane, Washington in 1956. After living in Spokane for a short time they moved once again this time to Seattle Washington finally settling in Burien, a suburb South of Seattle. There he bought a home and entered into the machinist trade. He worked 2 jobs for many years to make a comfortable home for his wife and their 2 children Sharon and Gary. He retired in 1994 and with Alice, entered into retirement moving to Riverview, a retirement community in Spokane.
Jerry stayed active in the community assisting fellow retirees with their needs and volunteering at his church with camp maintenance and the church benevolence fund. He and Alice enjoyed traveling, to Asia, Europe and throughout the United States visiting family, friends and missionaries.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Sharon Carpenter, son Gary (Kim), four grandchildren Matthew (Lea) Carpenter, Aaron (Carrie) Carpenter, Nathan Carpenter (fiancé Rona Lynn and children Schie, Sascha and Tegan), Jonathan Morse, four great-grandchildren Marcus, Hailey, Kalon and Ellie Carpenter, his two sisters Beryl Celeste Morse Veydt and Beverly Ann Morse Baker. He was predeceased by his Father (1963), Mother (1984), wife Alice (December 25, 2016), brothers Ursel Eugene Morse (deceased in infancy), Harold Edgar Morse (2003) and son-in-law Marcus Carpenter (October 25, 2016).
